less than 24

Less than 24 hours before we leave for Mali. Please be in prayer for a safe trip with no complications. Be in prayer against sickness as well. No one likes being sick while traveling. I can't believe it is over. We have graduation tonight. They are going to wash our feet as a sign that they are sending us out. which I think is a cool aspect (a little awkward though). Ahhhhhhhhhhh. Missing you all!

Heart

So on Saturday we butchered. We did fish and rabbits. I did one fish and one rabbit, but we killed like 10 rabbits total. It was pretty gross but fun stuff too. We tried to make the rabbit skins into pelts we can keep but are having some trouble hopefully this time round will be better. I can't believe it is almost time to leave this place. 3 days till we leave from Tampa and 4 till we arrive in Mali. I keep thinking about coming back to heart for a semester, cause I still need to pick a focus and this is one of the options. I do love it here. God will show me in time what he has planned or what the next step for me is. For all I know I might not be back at Grace next semester. I am thinking too far ahead. Ah. Ok time to do a paper. Florida/ Heart

The HEART Institute is a pretty awesome place! We definitely rough it though, there is not electricity in out cabins, and we have latrines like outhouses that you flush with a bucket of water. Us girls are lucky though, we have a toilet like thing to sit on, where as the guys have a hole in some concrete. HEART has a lot of animals. They have chickens, ducks, rabbits, and goats. There are some of the cutest baby goats or kids, Ah I love them so much. It has been getting cold so last night we got to sleep in the trailers; and yes Mom they have extra blankets and sleeping bags, so I have been plenty warm. On Monday we got to use electricity which really means we could have light other than our flashlights at night. We also can now leave the compound. On Tuesday we got some Indian food. There are two other people here not in the Grace group. Funny thing is they are both named Joel. So we call one Oliver cause it is his last name and we call the other Pinky cause it is similar to his last name. We have an awesome group here and I will miss them all! Can't believe HEART is a little more than half way done. Crazy! 9 days and counting till we leave for Mali! God Bless!
